LinkedIn Makes it Easier to Stay in Touch With Teammates

When you have something like LinkedIn, it’s easy to see the benefits that such a tool can end up providing to you in the midst of your career. The fact of the matter is that LinkedIn has completely changed the way we collaborate with people, but one thing that a lot of users have been complaining about is that their LinkedIn timelines are getting way too cluttered which is leading to them being unable to catch up with the people that truly matter, which is to say the members of the team that they are currently a part of at work.

In order to fix this issue to some extent, LinkedIn is introducing the new “Teammates” feature. This will be a separate feed that you can access which would only show you posts, updates and other kinds of activity from people that you have chosen. You can choose to only add actual teammates to this area, or you can turn it into a more social environment for yourself.

"We see that our members are 60% more likely to like, comment, share, or message coworkers vs. other connections.", announced Liz Li, Director of Product at LinkedIn. Adding further, "That’s why we’ve been exploring ways to help you discover and have meaningful conversations with your coworkers on LinkedIn."

However you end up using this feature, the fact of the matter is that you are probably going to really appreciate the fact that LinkedIn isn't as cluttered up as it used to be. Lots of users have complained about LinkedIn not giving them the right kind of experience, but with this new feature things are probably going to go a lot smoother. It’s also important to note that if you add teammates to this part of your LinkedIn experience, it will be a lot easier for you to stay in touch with them after they have left for greener pastures as well.
